Alumni Events

Alumni events are occasions to celebrate NC Stateits students, its traditions and its extended alumni family.

Evening of Stars

This black-tie gala celebrates the winners of the College Distinguished Alumni Awards and the Alumni Association Awards.

The evening highlights NC State’s community of alumni achievers as they are recognized for career accomplishments as well as contributions to their communities and alma mater. The college award winners are selected by the colleges, while the Alumni Association winners are chosen by a committee of the association’s board of directors.

Homecoming

The Alumni Association keeps NC State traditions alive. Each fall, alumni and current students are invited to Homecoming a weekend full of entertainment, including tailgates, reunions, live music and, of course, the lively and famous Homecoming Parade.

Legacy Luncheon

This event honors new students who are making NC State a family tradition. Attendees enjoy a break on move-in day with a barbecue lunch, ice cream, gifts and music by NC State’s Marching Band, the Power Sound of the South.

Reunions

Each year, the association hosts the 50th anniversary reunion, Forever Club and special-interest groups as they renew friendships and continue their involvement with NC State.

Senior Send-offs

Senior send-offs are local events that honor students who have committed to attend NC State in the fall. Planned by alumni in the community, and running the gamut from cookouts to ice cream socials, the send-offs welcome incoming students and their parents into the NC State family.

Wolfpack Fan Zone

Wolfpack Fan Zone is the place to be 2 1/2 hours before every NC State home football game. Located in front of the RBC Center, the Fan Zone offers live music, free face painting, games, munchies and giveaways from vendors who support the Pack. The NC State Marching Band, cheerleaders and Mr. and Mrs. Wuf make pregame visits to get the spirit flowing. Alumni can also howl a Wolfpack welcome to listeners of the Wolfpack Sports Network pregame show as it broadcasts live from the Zone.
