Web Site Raising Funds to Restore Color Wall in D.H. Hill
In May, we posted about The Color Wall, the fantastic light sculpture in D.H. Hill Library that was created by Joe Cox, a design professor at NC State from 1954 to 1980. Unfortunately, the sculpture has gone dark. As the folks who run Goodnight Raleigh! wrote then, “the mechanical switching system that operates the lights had suffered a total breakdown.” They’ve connected with NCSU Libraries’ advancement office in an effort to raise money to permanently restore the sculpture. Check out the project’s Web site, thecolorwall.org.
