What is the membership program about?

Though it was founded in 1895, the NC State Alumni Association became a dues-based membership organization in 1998 due to budget restructuring. Membership is open to all alumni and friends of NC State University. Membership establishes a direct link between the institution and the people who are dedicated to maintaining a tradition of academic excellence, service and involvement in their alumni family.

How do I join?

What is the membership money used for?

Your dues support Caldwell Scholarships, faculty stipends and awards, the annual Homecoming festivities, reunions, career services and all other alumni programming.

Does giving to the Annual Fund or Wolfpack Club make me a member of the Alumni Association?

No, giving to the Annual Fund or the Wolfpack Club does not make you a member of the Alumni Association. If you have questions about your Alumni Association membership status, please contact us.

What are Alumni Association clubs and special-interest groups?

A strong alumni network is one of the most important benefits the Alumni Association can offer its graduates. Because it appreciates the importance of networking, the NC State Alumni Association has built a variety of well-established clubs and special-interest groups. After joining the Alumni Association, you can choose the program that fits your needs. See the club section for more details.

Does the Alumni Association have a Lifetime Membership Program?

The Alumni Association Board of Directors has approved a Lifetime Membership Program. With one easy payment of $950 for an individual or $1,200 for a couple, alumni can look forward to a lifetime connection to NC State. Lifetime members receive all Alumni Association benefits as well as a special membership card, car decal and lapel pin.
