Show your Wolfpack spirit and win prizes too!

The deadline for registering for most contests is Friday, October 6, at 5 p.m. Please read the rules for each contest before entering.

Spirit Week

Get ready to rack up the points and win great prizes while representing your student organization in the Homecoming 2007 Dr. Thomas H. Stafford Jr. Spirit Bell competition. Earn your bragging rights for the 2007-2008 school year and let the student body know which campus organization is most spirited.

Paint the Town Red

Campus organizations will be paired with Hillsborough Street merchants to decorate store fronts on Monday, Oct. 22. Student organizations can win prizes for their inspiring designs and points in the Spirit Competition.

Campus Banner Contest

All student organizations and residence halls are invited to participate. Banners should be displayed by noon on Monday, Oct. 22, and will be judged throughout the week. Winning organizations will receive cash prizes, and their banners will be displayed at Carter-Finley Stadium on game day. Winners will be announced at the Pack Howl Pep Rally and Concert following the Homecoming Parade.

Craziest Fan Contest

This is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to show Wolfpack pride! The Craziest Fan Contest is open to all, and will be judged during the parade on Friday. The winner will be announced at the Pack Howl Pep Rally and Concert following the Homecoming Parade.

Cookie Decorating Contest

Spirit Competition participants have the opportunity to participate in a new component of the Spirit Competition this year: the Cookie Decorating Contest!! Organizations can make as many cookies as they like and sell them in the Brickyard on Thursday. Awards will be presented for best tasting cookies, best use of the Homecoming theme, and most cookies sold.

Float Contest

An award will be presented to the best float in the Homecoming Parade.

Leader of the Pack

The Leader of the Pack Committee seeks to honor students for outstanding achievement in leadership, scholarship and university service. One female and one male student will be rewarded with a $1,000 university scholarship.

To participate, students must be an undergraduate student returning to NC State for the 2008 fall semester. Each qualified applicant will be judged in the following areas: scholastics (minimum 2.5 GPA required), extracurricular activities with an emphasis on leadership positions and personal expression, which is based on an essay question to be evaluated by NC State faculty and staff.
