The Alumni Association, founded in 1895, builds lifelong relationships between alumni and their alma mater and works to make NC State the strongest academic institution possible. Here are 10 ways that the association empowers the university, its alumni family and the value of an NC State diploma.

1. Student Scholarships and Recruitment

Alumni Association members across the country recruit top applicants to NC State through the Pack Partners program. Each year, the association awards more than $740,000 in merit- and need-based scholarships.

2. Awards for Distinguished Faculty

Over a 30-year period, the Alumni Association has developed one of the most prestigious awards programs in the country, honoring excellence in teaching, research, extension and outreach. Each year, the association awards more than $70,000 to outstanding faculty.

3. Alumni Career Services

Alumni members can advance their careersand find job opportunities with employers specifically seeking NC State graduatesthrough the associations online career center or a direct consultation with our career counselor.

4. Geographic Alumni Chapters

More than 85 clubs throughout the United States offer opportunities for service, friendship and networking.

5. Special-Interest Alumni Societies

The Alumni Association supports a dozen special-interest groups and societies that meet to network, raise money for endowed scholarships, honor outstanding alumni and support their colleges or programs.

6. NC State Magazine

This award-winning magazine, our most popular benefit of membership, keeps alumni and friends connected to NC State and to one another.

7. Homecoming

The Alumni Association keeps NC State traditions alive. Each fall, alumni and current students are invited to Homecoming a weekend of entertainment, including tailgates, reunions, live music and, of course, the lively and famous Homecoming Parade.

8. Student Membership

Through STAT (Students Today Alumni Tomorrow), undergraduate and graduate members receive benefits, services and discounts and build a lifelong connection with their alma mater.

9. Reunions

Each year, the association hosts the 50th anniversary reunion, Forever Club and special interest groups as they renew friendships and continue their involvement with NC State.
