The service will honor all alumni who served their country and community, including a special tribute to Navy Lt. Eric Cranford '92, who died at the Pentagon during the 9-11 attacks. The service will conclude with the placement of a wreath at the base of the Belltower, followed by a rifle salute, taps and flyover of F-15 jets.
The Alumni Memorial Belltower was chosen as the site for this service because it was built to honor those NC State alumni who died in World War I. Today, the Belltower stands tall in tribute to all alumni who have served their country, especially those who have given their lives.
Sponsored by the NC State Alumni Association with special assistance from the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Officer Training Corps.
