Every year, the Alumni Association honors faculty who excel in the classroom, in the laboratory and in the field. Only 21 faculty members receive recognition during an awards ceremony designed to celebrate faculty dedication to NC State’s core values—teaching, research and extension. Collectively, these faculty members receive more than $60,000 in award stipends. Faculty are nominated by their colleges and selected by committee.

The Alumni Association has been recognizing faculty for their contributions to NC State for more than 40 years and believes that faculty are the backbone of our institution.
